I didn't coin this term, I give that credit to @multipassionatejoi on Instagram. And this isn't a post explaining what a multipassionate is, but by the name alone you get the idea.
I actually haven't posted in awhile because of the various things I'm constantly drawn to create, aka being a multipassionate. But It's well past time that I share! Especially if it gives you some motivation to delve into, pursue or develop any creative talents you may have.
The creative drive I have stems from my parents and this post is about my latest voyage into dah dah daaaahhhh making shoes! I decided this summer I was going to make my own sandals. I already knew I wouldn't find what I wanted in stores especially at a reasonable cost. There was no plan or blueprint, I decided as I do with most of my ideas to just make it happen. But thankfully I have learned to map things out. Setting goals and timelines for my creative ideas is a must! I'm happy I finally learned to do this because it reduces procrastination, dallying in other projects which creates chaos, overwhelm and a long list of other unproductive habits.

Above is a pic of my father well at work cobbling some shoes. I love that term...Cobbling! Funny enough the definition of cobbling is in line with being a multipassionate. I said that I would not go into what a multipassionate is, yet here we are. Cobbling: roughly assemble or put together something from available parts or elements. Becoming a multipassionate came about because I often had to cobble things together in life for needs sake. This meant that I always learned something new as a creative and added it to my bag of skills. And the thing about this that I've realized is that spending time on any creative activity begins to hone your ability to create more advanced things. You begin to see your craftmanship improve and your speed will increase. Your ability to come up with more ideas and execute them the way you actually imagined becomes easier. And honestly there's no way you cannot find some pride in creating something with your very own hands. Honesty I amazed myself! Your work may not be perfect the first few rounds but as they say practice, practice, practice makes you BETTER! As you can see below this all started with jewelry. I made this pair at least a year ago and it brought me to create a matching pair of shoes. And I am on board from here on out to keep adding to my handmade shoe collection. I also think it is a good idea to have some type of important skill that you are good at that could be used to take care of yourself. It could be gardening, sewing, knitting, cooking, anything that you can take with you. You could always get paid for it, trade it barter it.
If you enjoyed this post and seeing the final results, please like and share! Especially with someone who is on a similar journey, however we should all be on the journey of being creatives. Because we are all creators in some shape or fashion!
